This is an example of a bad interview. This interview was very bad because the person asking the questions got way to personal into her life and that wasn't relavant to the job at hand. Also, he insulted her by calling her not strong and assuming that she was mexican.

Myspace outage
After reading "Myspace Outage" I was in shock and disgusted. This shows that technology has really affected our community in a negative way. People were freaking out because they couldn't check their profile, and one girl said she lost all sense of self because she didn't have an "about me" anymore. I mean, really? They now have a psychological term for people like this. I think this generation has been caught up in too much technology and its ruining all of us. I honestly wouldn't mind if we lost myspace, Facebook, twitter and all the social networking sights. I mean, we did grow up without it so how hard is it really going to be to not click open a Facebook page or update a status? I think t would be really easy for me, but not for others, obviously. Facebook is even going under as we speak, basically none of my friends are on it anymore anyways. There really isn't a use for it then to connect to family and friends that are far away from you. whatever happened to actually giving someone a phone call? Those days are gone. I just dont get how people can loose their sense of self over a social network. It really worries me for what lies ahead for us in our future.

Takes A Tribe
After reading "Takes A Tribe" in Remix, I have to agree with the majority that was said. It was basically and excerpt about how when in college people form different "Tribes" and groups and how they are stereotypes for those groups of people, and it really is true. When people go to college they want to feel like they belong so they join a group and basically meld themselves into them so they can fit in. People will sometimes loose themselves in trying to be part of something else. But other ties its not as bad as it seems. For example, "Tribes" can just be a group of people in the same major. For example, I am a theatre major. People probably have the stereotype that were a bunch of geeks, art freaks, strange, or took the easy way out of school by choosing an easy major. None of that is true anyway. It takes a lot of work and dedication. Anyway, people in a theatre major are part of a tribe, as people that who are studying biology are part of a different tribe. They also said in the book that those different tribes, even inside the same college, do things to differentiate themselves from each other like thinking one is better than the other or having some sort of competition with each other.

Collage
I already have all the things I would like to make a part of my identity collage. I want to incorporate my three best friends, Taylor, Kara and Jessica, my aunt that passed, and my tattoos. I also want to showcase my theatre, dance and singing roots. I am trying to find pictures of myself on stage, or find a good picture of something that represent theatre, like a stage, or the famous drama faces. I also I have to take a picture of me singing into my recording equipment to show the music part of me. If I have room and it looks good, I might add some fashion touches, or something to describe how I like to write. All I have to figure is out how to arrange all of that on my collage so it looks nice.
Tattoos and Identity
In class today we discussed tattoos and if they are an effective way to represent ones identity, after reading in "Remix" about the september 11th tattoos. I think tattoos are a great way to represent yourself even if you have them or you don't. I agreed with that tattoos can showcase what a person went through in life, a struggle that they had to overcome, a memory of someone, or anything that is really significant to that person enough to label themselves permanently with it. I thought their argument was very persuasive showing the September 11th tattoos and how it showed something about themselves, and what they were trying to convey through art. I have two tattoos myself that both represent something very special to me. One is a breast cancer ribbon on my ankle, and another is a quote saying "Rise up and shine" on my wrist. Looking at those without knowing me you'd assume I've lost someone to breast cancer, which I have my aunt died of breast cancer a couple years ago. The "rise up and shine" tattoo people probably assume its just a quote I liked or part of a song. Its actually something my aunt said to me during a struggle I'm trying to over come in my life right now. Anyway those tattoos tell stories of stuff I went through in my life. Tattoos are stories that people are showing the world. Those stories are important to them, which showcases their identity.
